The ERGObaby carrier's ergonomic design supports a correct sitting position for the baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. It disperses most of the baby's weight between the hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression of the spine when hanging by the crotch which most other designs require. The Ergo Carrier also balances the baby's weight to parents' hips and shoulders, and alleviates physical stress for the parent.

The ERGO Baby Carrier in combination with our Infant Insert enables you to buy only one carrier that will assist you through all the stages of your baby’s growth. The insert is specially padded and shaped cushion that can be quickly and easily placed in the carrier and readjusted or folded to pad just the right places for your infant. Your infant is then cradled in a cozy, protected environment close to your heart and breast. Your baby is supported with both feet to one side in a sling-like position. This is best for the baby’s physical development from newborn to around four months. Parents can remain attentive to their baby’s needs and at the same time continue daily activities because parent and baby are like one. The hood can be extended for privacy when nursing or as a sun shield.

I cannot live without my Ergo, period. My daughter is nearly 2yo and is around 32lbs. I still use it 2-3x/wk for hikes, grocery store, and grumpiness. This carrier is SO FRIGGIN COMFORTABLE, and now comes in amazing colors and patterns. You simply must have an Ergo. --Bekah 11/09

We bought this for our baby before she was born and have used it regularly since (we rotate with a couple of other slings), and ALWAYS when we go out walking. She has been comfortable in it, first with the infant insert and then without, being in the front, and now that she is almost 20# she is on the back when worn for extended periods. We love the Ergo! My husband and I take turns carrying our baby, and it is extremely convenient that all the straps and buckles are adjustable to fit us both, whereas many slings are sized and require a purchase of a second if the spouse is a different size. The ONLY thing we wish was different about the Ergo is that it were water resistant, but that's a trifle, since we RARELY go out in the rain, pouring rain, with our baby to walk. It packs easily and lightly for air travel, and the pockets have room for an extra hat, sunscreen, mittens, cell phone. I clip my keys to the ring on the shoulder strap. Our baby has been from California to DC in this pack and it's super! --Julie 4/09

I love my Ergo! I can still carry my son who is now 24lbs. very comfortably on my front or back. We have used this carrier to go cross country skiing, hiking, all day trips to the city, and so much more. He is comfortable and it doesn't hurt my back at all. All of the weight is on your hips, which greatly reduces the stress on your back. I also love the roomy zip pocket at the front and the sun/nursing hood. I love having my son close to me. This is definitely one of my favorite baby products that I own. I highly recommend the Ergo! --Heather 3/09
