What's new about bumGenius! 3.0 One Size Diapers?

New 3.0 features:

  • Redesigned stretchy tabs - trimmer, yet snug and comfortable
  • Wider slot - easier stuffing and removing insert
  • New insert stopper - keeps clothes dry
  • Return of the extra-small - fold down insert stopper for shorter rise
  • Bundled with newborn insert - less bulk for little babies
  • Grippier hook and loop - stays put and looks good
  • Cloth diapering has never been so easy!
bumGenius! one-size cloth diapers offer an industry first, stretch- to-fit tabs. The redesigned tabs provide a comfortable fit and trim look. This simple design makes cloth diapering as easy as using disposables. bumGenius! one-size cloth diapers are perfect for care providers who might be resistant to cloth diapering (including daycares and dads)!

    Less Clutter
bumGenius! One-Size Cloth Diapers easily fit babies from 7 pounds up to 35 pounds. One diaper for multiple children simplifies laundry and the diaper drawer. No more sorting by size or having to carry multiple diapers when going out. Three snap-downs on the front of the diaper (patent pending) adjust the rise as your baby grows. For newborns, fold down the insert stopper for an extra-small rise.

    Highly Absorbent

The bumGenius one-size cloth diaper is one-size off the shelf. In addition to the regular insert, we are including a newborn insert/booster with all version 3.0 diapers. The newborn insert is designed to reduce bulk for small babies. When the baby outgrows the newborn insert, it works great as an overnight booster or extra absorbency for a heavy wetter.

Only the Best for Your Baby
The soft, waterproof outer fabric keeps the diaper just as trim on a newborn setting as it is on a toddler. Soft, sueded inner fabric wicks moisture away from your baby's skin. Super stretchy, ultra gentle leg and back elastic with rolled out casings keep the poop in and to help keep red marks away.  Plus, the unique covered pocket opening keeps wetness completely off of your baby. After the diaper has been used, you can even avoid messes in your wet bag by rolling the diaper up and fastening the tabs before storage!

I love love love the Bum Genius 3.0 One Size. The fabric, PUL, and elastic are all top notch. The lining is soft, doesn't hold stains, and wears REALLY well. This diaper is all around a quality diaper. It never leaks and can usually be used for my super-heavy-wetter overnight, especially when paired with the Play-All-Day Hemp Fleece Inserts. My only issue is the hook-and-loop on the diaper. The tabs have a tendency to curl up at the edges and tear up other things in the washer. We also had a few incidents where the hook-and-loop tab got stuck to her pants and came undone, scratching the heck out of her baby skin--ouch! The hook part gets clogged with fuzz then the loop laundry tabs have lost their adhesion. For such a well-designed product, I'm surprised that the weakest part of the item is such a low-tech problem with the hook-and-loop. Boo. If the tabs are cleaned regularly it's not a big deal, but that's why I'm rating it a 4 out of 5 stars.  --Bekah  10/09

I love my bumGenius! They work so well. I used prefolds and Thirsties covers during the day, but these at night as my son is a heavy wetter. They are the only thing that have ever worked for him at night. I have never had one problem with them leaking. I highly recommend them. They are worth every penny.  --Heather 3/09

I have the older 2.0 (I think?) BumGenius diapers-the ones just before this version came out. Even though they've been improved, I still love the older ones. I haven't tried a new one, but the ones I have work great, soft, one size fits most, etc. One of the snaps on one is...hard to get right...but other than that, I haven't had any issues with them and they still look practically new. The only thing I don't like is the inserts that come with them, unless the baby is big enough to use them unfolded. Its just too bulky for me-although admittedly they hold a LOT. I just bought my own inserts and they work great for me that way. I still might order more for the little dude I'm expecting in September though.  --Cari 5/08

I have used BumGenius One-Size 2.0 for the past year. They have been wonderful. One word of caution (user error, not a product flaw)-- don't use any diaper cream with these diapers without a barrier (liner). We ruined our whole set of 18 diapers with a diaper rash treatment. It created a waterproof barrier on the diapers that wouldn't wash out. We treated with Dawn, boiled, washed, rewashed, rewashed, scrubbed, and rewashed. Nothing saved them. We just purchased a whole new set, now the 3.0 version. They are a wonderful product! --John 5/08

These diapers are the best that we have tried. Baby is now sleeping through the night, and these work great. His little bottom still stays completely dry. I have not used them long enough to have any problems with them breaking down, as the other reviewer commented. I hope that does not happen, because we just spent a lot of money buying more of them. These are great!  --Becki 4/08

I was looking for a super absorbent diaper for my boys (22 months and 8 months), so i gave these a shot after some recommendations from other moms. At first I was very happy with the absorbency and ease of these diapers, but then they slowly stopped being so very absorbent even after many different attempts to rid them of detergent. Then we got really bad rashes. I talked to other moms who had the same problems and they had given up on them.  They narrowed it down to the synthetic fibers in the covers and inserts. So I am very disappointed with these diapers. I paid a lot for them and they have been nothing but trouble.  Sorry if this ruins their reputation, but I just wanted to warn others about these problems.  --Jackie 4/08
