A Note Regarding the Return of Your New Native
|
My New Native Baby Carrier was an absolute blessing in which I never left home without it for the first 2 years of my daughter's life.
Before you return your New Native...
Please consider the following:
Because of the womb-like carry of your sling, it is best to use your New Native from birth. If you are beginning to use your carrier at a later date, do not feel as if it is hopeless. You and your baby are likely to learn to love the close quarters of a sling after about a week of use.
In my opinion, the New Native Baby Sling is most valuable after about 4-6 months of age...in the hip carry. (See photo to right) Once your baby is able to support his/her head, the hip carry is extremely helpful in taking the weight off of your arms and hip.
This carry was invaluable for:
- Traveling...by plane and on city buses
- During social events where I had to stand for long periods of time
- For quick transfers in and out of the car...to the bank, into the library, etc.
- Moments of 'neediness' while cooking dinner
The list goes on and on...
The decision to return your carrier is ultimately yours...and we will be happy to refund your payment and pass your carrier onto another new family. But if you were a close girlfriend of mine, I honestly would advise you to hang in there for the developmental benefits and for the reasons listed above. Best of luck! |
