| These three-layer microterry inserts are a fantastic value. Sewn by a work-at-home mom in Golden, Colorado, they are super absorbent and trim. The contoured shape allows the middle to stay flat in your pocket diapers while the edges are wider to allow for more absorbency without too much bulk. Used alone they are trim and will absorb a lot. Combined with a hemp insert or a cotton prefold, they are a super-absorber that will last all night for most kids. Microterry should not be used directly against the skin. It absorbs so well that it can actually chap skin and be very irritating. So it should be used inside a pocket diaper, or on the outside of a fitted or prefold (obviously inside the cover, though). There should always be a layer of another textile between the skin and absorbent microterry for baby's comfort. |
