Click here for info. | Product Details | | Looking for an unbelievably trim pocket diaper insert without sacrificing absorbency? Thirsties Hemp Inserts are the answer. Made from 4 layers of custom woven hemp/cotton blend in your choice Terry or Fleece. Hemp is perfect for babies with sensitive skin as it is notorious for being naturally anti-microbial which means that it actually repels bacteria! Don't let the trimness of these inserts alarm you. Hemp alone is four times as absorbent than cotton, so Thirsties Hemp Inserts are only 1/8 of an inch thick but can absorb up to amazing 9oz ounces of liquid. Terry or Fleece? The choice is yours. Some folks prefer the texture of the terry because it helps to keep your insert in place within your pocket diaper. Others prefer fleece mainly because it is softer. Because of the soft feel of Thirsties Hemp Fleece Inserts, they can also be used alone in a Diaper Cover for a super trim contoured diaper or can be worn as a doubler in conjunction with other diapering systems. As with our microterry inserts, the wide end of the insert can be tucked into the front or the back of the pocket diaper to suit the specific needs of your baby girl or baby boy. We have found the having the flexibility to stuff the insert in the direction we need the most absorbency, often eliminates the need for nighttime doublers and additional bulk. The unique contoured design of our inserts allow for the insert to actually lie flat within the middle of your pocket diaper. Thirsties Hemp Inserts will not bunch and add bulk to the middle of your pocket diapers as will other brands we have tested. Our inserts are especially designed to provide the absolutely trimmest fit, without sacrificing absorbency and will fit comfortably in all all major pocket diaper brands. Machine wash warm or hot. I really liked the Thirsties hemp inserts before, but I ***LOVE*** the new contoured design! These are now my favorite inserts. They help the Fuzzi Bunz fit my skinny kids much better. I'm also thrilled to have an insert that my toddler can wear all night without leaking. They are even better for overnights than the Wonderfulls hemps, which had been my favorite overnight insert. I bought these with some Swaddlebees diapers, but I don't really like how they fit in those diapers. However, they are my #1 choice inserts for our Fuzzi Bunz and bum!Genius! pockets. I absolutely love these inserts. They are super absorbent and without the bulk. I use Swaddlebees pocket diapers with 2 Thirsties Hemp Terry Inserts and I have not had any problems with leaks, which is a great since my daughter is a heavy wetter. I think these inserts work better then the Swaddlebees inserts that come with the diaper. I also really like the contoured shape, which makes it better fitting inside a pocket diaper. These are amazingly absorbent. Our daughter is a very heavy wetter, but we haven't had a single nighttime soak-through since we started using these inserts. We've even been able to resurrect some older fitted diapers we had abandoned as just not absorbent enough, all thanks to Thirsties. These were the first thing we put on our gift list when we found out we were pregnant with #2, just in case he or she takes after big sister! - Chalyn 6/06 |
