Introducing the Ultimate Cotton
Prefold! Thirsties® Cotton Prefolds are the perfect blend of extreme durability, luxurious softness, & ultimate absorbency. Our custom woven cotton remains trim yet very absorbent. The highest quality manufacturing available make these prefolds the very best bang for your buck!
Our prefolds are far superior to any of those you can purchase at your
local department store...Thirsties prefolds are an entirely different
'animal'.
Diaper service quality Chinese
prefolds, such as ours, are wildly popular for there affordability,
durability, and great absorbency. Simply fold into thirds to form
a pad. Place the pad inside of a waterproof cover
and wrap around baby. Your cover will fasten the diaper around
your baby, but if you'd like an even more secure and snug fit, we
recommend using Snappi diaper fasteners (see
photo to right). Basic folding and washing instructions are included with
your prefold purchase. Click
here for more detailed folding directions.

Before
Washing
After Washing
Your Thirsties Cotton Prefolds will arrive somewhat
flat and stiff, but will fluff and soften wonderfully after washed (as
shown in photos above). All prefolds require pre-washing.
The natural oils of cotton is preserved in the natural prefolds.
Additional initial washings are required for ideal absorbency in
unbleached diapers. Natural prefolds will continue to increase in
absorbency and will reach their ultimate absorbency after about 8
washes.
Our white diapers are whitened naturally
using hydrogen peroxide which is dioxin-free. Using hydrogen
peroxide rather than bleach, preserves the fiber quality and ensures your
diapers will last longer than chlorine bleach counterparts.
A
washing tip: During the initial washes, avoid completely filling
your washer with soiled diapers. Keeping your load size to a minimum
will reduce friction and thereby prevent unwanted pilling. This tip is
especially important for natural (unbleached) prefolds as the textile
used to create our natural prefolds is a high quality, minimally
processed cotton. You may slowly increase your washer load over
time. Any pills that do happen to sneak-up on you will eventually
release from your diapers with continued use.

Months Used: 2I love these prefolds! They are soft, and the most absorbent
prefold I have come across. I have tried all sorts of diapers, but these are
my favorite for dependability and affordability. I've even stopped using the
microterry inserts and stuff our pockets with these! - Shannon 3/07 |

1These diapers are so soft and fluffy and incredibly
absorbent. I avoided prefolds for a long time thinking they'd be
difficult to use or not as good as a fitted diaper. I was so wrong. They
are the first diaper I go for at changing time now. They are also very
trim and not bulky making them fit nicely under clothing. The only
reason I don't rate them a perfect five is not for performance or quality
but because the size I bought first wasn't cut wide enough for his pudgy
size (two months, almost 13lbs). My son was well within the size
recommendation of what I ordered but I could barely fit it around his waist
to Snappi (which also a great product, by the way). Aside from that I
adore this product and will continue to buy more.

4My little girl and I have been very happy with our
Thirsties Premium cotton diapers. We prefer Proraps to cover them and
have found them to be inexpensive, soft, very easy to use, and easy to
clean. My little one does get diaper rash fairly quickly, but using a
doubler or Fuzzi Bunz at night has helped with this. Overall, I have been
very pleased with our decision to use cloth diapers and recommend Baby
Cotton Bottoms to all my pregnant friends.

Months Used: 1Although these are the only prefolds I've used, I've
had NO problems with them at all. No rashes, nothing. I was amazed at
how soft they got after the 'required before use' washes!

Months Used: 2Wonderfully soft and
absorbent, these are the best prefolds I've had in 9 years of cloth
diapering! Except in the morning after being in one for all night, the
baby's skin still feels dry! For night-time we place an infant prefold on
top of the baby premium and, although very wet after 8-9 hours, there are no
leaks and no rashes! We have the white and natural...although they both
perform the same, I find myself reaching for the natural because it looks,
well, more natural! - Becky 1/07 |

These natural prefolds are incredibly soft! They were
ready to use after 4 hot washes. And they only get softer with every
wash after that. They absorb really well, although I do have a super
soaker newborn daughter so I might have to move her to infants sizes as
I have all NB sizes now. But these are hands down the softest and most
absorbent prefolds I have ever had. Love them! - Melissa 10/06 |

These are the best prefolds I have found so far. They
are softer and much more absorbent than the other Indian prefolds I
have. The price and shipping were also very inexpensive, making these a
great buy all around. I will definitely purchase more diapers from Baby
Cotton Bottoms! - Erika 7/06 |

These are the softest and fluffiest prefolds I've
found! I started my cloth diapering journey by order 6 from several
different companies-- these by far are my favorite, so much so that I've
gotten rid of the rest. - Megan 7/06 |

Months Used: 1These are the softest,
thickest, and nicest prefolds I have ever used. I bought 18 unbleached
toddler prefolds and they are wonderful. Both of my boys slept in them
overnight and they were incredibly absorbent. They fluffed up so nicely
after I washed and dried them 3 times. These are definitely my new favorite
diapers. I can't wait to buy some more! - Heidi 6/06 |

I had heard that these prefolds might be slightly more
""Indian-like"" than most available Chinese prefolds, which appealed to
me. I like the feel of Indian prefolds but the dimensions of Chinese.
These are the great prefolds. Very well-combed cotton (few specks and
rough spots). Very soft and trim, yet extremely absorbent.
I have both the regular (4x6x4) and the infant size (4x8x4) and will be
buying more of each. - Kvan 6/06 |

I give a dozen of these (in TODDLER size) to new Moms
at their baby shower! Why? Burp cloths! They are the very best. They are
so soft against the baby's face, very absorbent because of the multiple
folds in the middle strategically placed under the baby's mouth for
those lovely spit-ups, and big enough to stay on Mom's and Dad's
shoulder while holding the baby. I don't know what I would have done
without them for my own 3 daughters. The last 3 recipients of this gift
reported to me "out of all the shower gifts the cloth diapers used for
burping was the BEST of all!" They may not be cute and they may not get
all the oohs and aahs at the baby shower, but they will get the oohs and
aahs at home from the Mom & Dad! A million times over. I just ordered
another set for another shower I'm going to. I give these with pride and
with knowing that it's the most valuable and useful gift that will last
years and years and years, even later when they turn into! dust cloths!!
Remember toddler size! It makes a difference. Enjoy! - Jane 2/06 |

I bought the natural in infant size. I really like
them. I like natural because I think they last longer than the bleached
plus they hide stains. - Jenny 1/06 |

Compared to the other cloth diapers I have these are
softer, the stitching around the edge is not nearly as irritating. The
absorbency is superb. The only time my son wets through is when he is
wearing some other diaper.
I would recommend the premium diapers to anyone, and the price is the
best on the net for the quality. This is a 4X8X4 diaper which can't be
beat. - Tracie 10/05 |
